Tara is a former Golden State Warrior dancer with over 20 years of Dance and Performance experience. She has trained many award-winning and nationally ranked teams, including the Studio’s own Love2Dance All-Stars. Tara has won many awards for her dancing and choreography. She is very involved in the community and continues to be active in local schools and volunteer work in Novato. Tara encourages positive attitudes and fosters a supportive environment, which promotes increases self-esteem and a feeling of accomplishment. Tara makes every student feel special and welcome.  She looks forward to many more years of inspiring Novato dancers, both young and old

Jazz Instructor
Jen is currently in her sixth season as a member of the Golden State Warriors Dance Team. Jen has been teaching and choreographing for the past 15 years. This is her fourth year teaching at Love2Dance. Her training includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics and ballroom. Her professional dance career has taken her to many places including China, Las Vegas, Taiwan, the Philippines, and London where she performed in The New Year’s Day Parade. Jen’s creativity and fabulous choreography makes you feel like a Jazz Diva.

Eilish started taking dance lessons in Novato as a young child. Her dance training includes hip-hop, ballet, jazz, and Irish dancing. Eilish is entering her fifth year at Love2Dance. After performing for four years as a member of the Love2Dance Senior All-Stars, she is now the team's assistant coach. She has been named Love2Dancer of the Year two seasons in a row. She spent the past three years teaching, working with the Jr. Hip-Hop class and training with Tara to prepare for the teaching position. This will be her third session teaching Jr. Hip-Hop. 

Dawn Gilbert
Ballet Instructor
Dawn Gilbert began her dance career at the age of 5 and hasn't stopped since.  Her performance repertoire is quite diverse, and includes playing "Connie Wong" in the Broadway musical A Chorus Line, levitating as a magician's assistant, a soloist in various dance reviews, a Warrior Girl in the early 90's and a spokes model/performer riding an elephant in an opening act for a casino in Reno. She trained and entertained all over the world in many facets of dance including ballet, pointe, classical jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, flamenco, and modern to name a few. She has produced, directed and choreographed many shows including Miss Nevada 2000 and 2001, which is a preliminary to Miss America. Currently, she is working on a Las Vegas show which will include X-treme Sports, magic, innovative choreography and special effects.

Jessica danced professionally for 20 years in Los Angeles.  She worked for MTV for 9 years doing casting, choreography, dancing and celebrity/audience coordination.  She owned her own performing arts studio for 13 years and just returned to Marin in June 2005.
