Owner/Director of Love2Dance
All-Stars
Tara is a former Golden State Warrior
dancer with over 20 years of Dance and Performance experience. She
has trained many award-winning and nationally ranked teams, including
the Studio’s own Love2Dance All-Stars. Tara has won many awards
for her dancing and choreography. She is very involved in the community
and continues to be active in local schools and volunteer work in
Novato. Tara encourages positive attitudes and fosters a supportive
environment, which promotes increased self-esteem and a feeling
of accomplishment. Tara makes every student feel special and welcome.
She looks forward to many more years of inspiring Novato dancers
both young and old.

Jen
Testa
Jazz Instructor
Jen is a six year veteran member the Golden State
Warriors Dance Team and is currently dancing with “La Femme
Panache”, a San Francisco based Dance and Talent Company.
Jen has been teaching and choreographing for the past 15 years.
This is her seventh year teaching at Love2Dance. Her training includes
ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics and ballroom. Her professional
dance career has taken her to many places including China, Las Vegas,
Taiwan, the Philippines, and London where she performed in The New
Year’s Day Parade. Jen’s constant creativity and fabulous
choreography continue to challenge and inspire her students while
leaving the audience in awe and the dancers wanting more.

Eilish
Young
Hip-Hop Instructor
Eilish Young’s dance training includes hip-hop, ballet, jazz,
and Irish dancing. Eilish was a founding member of the Love2Dance
Senior All-Stars. In addition to teaching hip-hop, she currently
coaches the Love2Dance All-Stars along with Tara and Jeanne. Her
choreography has won many top awards at regional and national competitions
from 2007 and on. Her innovative style is both challenging and unique.
She continues to push her students to reach new potential by constantly
encouraging them to clean the material learned and paying attention
to detail.
Aimee
Dietrick
Hip-Hop Instructor
Aimee has been dancing for 23 years. She is trained in all dance
styles but hip hop is her passion. Aimee’s love for hip hop
took her to New York to study. She has been choreographing and collaborating
on various shows and productions since she was 15 years old. Aimee
has been teaching dance in studios in Oregon and throughout Northern
California and teamed with Rauly Duenes as co-director of Fierce
Dance Company. Aimee’s latest production project is choreographing
for the band, The Fans of Jimmy Century, an independent San Francisco
based electronic/alternative dance group. Aimee is excited to join
the Love2Dance team.
Dana
Soto
Hip-Hop Instructor
Dana has been dancing for 20 years and truly loves to dance. She
is one of the original members of the Love2Dance Senior All-Star
competitive dance team and in 2004 became assistant coach. She was
the co-choreographer for the Feather River College Dance and Cheer
Team in 2006 and has instructed classes and workshops throughout
Marin and Sonoma County, including Sonoma State University. Her
training background includes ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and
breaking. Most recently Dana has been training in break dancing
with B-Boy Still Roc of Miami, Florida and takes pride in keeping
the origin and history of hip hop alive. She teaches dance as an
expression of emotion and art. Her hip hop choreography with a B-girl
influence showcases each student’s talent. Dana’s teaching
philosophy encourages her students to find his/her own style as
a dancer and as an individual.
Jeanne
Tidwell
Business Manager
Jeanne has been involved in Love2Dance since its inception as camp
counselor, recital volunteer and participant. For the past ten years,
she has been co-director of the Love2Dance All-Stars. In addition
to her involvement in the All-Star program, Jeanne brings her 30
years of experience to the studio as office manager. Jeanne's expertise
is a welcome addition to the studio's day to day activities. Her
husband Larry and daughters, Jennifer and Jaime, also continue to
be important members of the Love2Dance family.
Dawn
Gilbert
Dance Fusion/Technique Instructor
Dawn Gilbert's performance repertoire is
quite diverse, and includes playing "Connie Wong"
in A Chorus Line at the age of 17, levitating as a magician's
assistant, soloist in various dance reviews, a Golden State Warrior
Girl and being a spokes model and riding an elephant in a long
running show. She has trained and performed all
over the world in many facets of dance including ballet, Pointe,
classical jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, flamenco, and modern to name
a few. Dawn has produced, directed and choreographed many
shows including Miss Nevada 2000 and 2001, which is a preliminary
to Miss America and Miss Nevada's Outstanding Teen 2006. She has
coached many young teens and women to win scholarships in the
pageant world. Finally and most recently, she became a judge and
dance coach for Women's Gymnastics.
